Communication Conquers the Heights

The international paragliding competition for the Leader of the Nation Cup were held in the foothills of the Dangara district. MegaFon Tajikistan provided participants and organizers with reliable mobile connectivity and high-speed internet, which became a vital component for the successful execution of the event.

The large-scale sporting event took place from April 25 to May 4 as part of the implementation of the "open doors" policy and was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The competitions brought together more than 100 athletes and tourists from Tajikistan, as well as foreign participants from Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, Uzbekistan, and other countries, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, and received widespread coverage in both domestic and foreign media.

A key feature of the competition was the extreme conditions: athletes ascended to altitudes of 3,000-4,000 meters and covered distances of up to 100 kilometers. The availability of stable mobile service and internet connection was an essential factor – not only for the participants' comfort, but also for flight coordination and safety.

"We regularly support projects that strengthen our country's international image and promote the development of sports tourism. To ensure stable communication in the competition area, a mobile base station was deployed. We also operated promo stands where participants and guests could learn about the company's services. In high-altitude conditions, it is especially important the connectivity remains reliable and accessible," says Komron Kenjaev, Director of  the regional office of MegaFon Tajikistan in  Khatlon region.

The competition was organized by the State Unitary Enterprise "Dipservice" under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of relevant government agencies.
